The main drawback with the inkjet color ink cartridge is that when one color is finished one has to change the whole cartridge thus spending much money each time it is changed.  But the modern and latest printers offer individual tanks for each color.  This makes it very easy and cost effective as you will change only the color that is finished.

Ink is the main part of a printer and it should be of high quality, especially when printing important documents and photos that have to stay for a long time in the file or album.  Like other fake products inkjet ink too has many counterfeit sellers that mock the Canon, Epson, Lexmark and HP inks and sell at a cheaper rate.

To determine the original from the fake is definitely very difficult and accidently if you end up with a fake one you will suffer leaky cartridges, poor print outs or less number of pages per cartridge and it may result in damage to the printer.  It is advisable to check the labels thoroughly and try to find the difference which would be unnoticeable.  The best choice is to buy the replacement cartridges from authorized dealers where you are safe.

Paper is another component that needs consideration.  Using poor quality paper and expecting to have good results of prints is unwise.  If one invests in the best quality paper at a reasonably higher cost the quality of photo prints would definitely be better and long lasting.  There could be a lot of duplication on paper as well and it is advisable to get paper also from the authorized dealers where you can be sure of quality and durability.
